My family have annual passes for LEGOLAND Discovery Centre which are really handy for when I want to take the kids out for a few hours. A few days ago, my 7 year old, 1 year old twin boys and I set off in the car for LDC. We parked easily in the Barton Square car park.
Upon entry friendly staff welcomed us and we went upstairs via lift for those who do not like using a lift there are stairs. We didn’t opt to do the factory tour and so headed straight for Miniland. This always fascinates all my children, especially my 7 year old daughter. We then went to Kingdom Quest and a helpful chaperone took my daughter on the ride while I stood waiting with the boys.
After this we decided to get some food. I used my LDC card to get 20% off of the food and drink. I had a pannini and soft drink and my daughter had a kid’s meal with drink. The total was £8, reasonable I thought especially since my daughter shared hers with her baby brothers. She then went to build some LEGO and watch it vibrate while I took the boys into the Duplo area. Tom & Jack enjoyed building LEGO construction with mummy. The bricks were soft and ideal for younger children.
My daughter was very proud to see that she is now tall enough to ride on Merlin’s Apprentice on her own. She had a play in the soft play area with her brothers and then we went home.
Because it was a short trip there were so many things we didn’t do but as we have one of their value for money annual passes we look forward to doing those next time.
The café area and toilet facilities were spotless as they usually are. All of the staff were lovely and my daughter even got a high five from one of them.
