Justin’s Party at the Alhambra Theatre Bradford Review

Myself and my 4 year old son had the fabulous opportunity to watch Justin’s Party staring children’s television personality Justin Fletcher, AKA Mr Tumble, live.

Upon arrival to the theatre we were greeted by a lady at the ticket desk whom handed us our tickets. There was also a merchandise stall selling memorabilia items, signed DVD’s and souvenirs, unfortunately I wasn’t able to purchase anything for my son as they didn’t accept card payments, this was a big disappointment. A steward then showed us which way we needed go to our seats.

The Alhambra is a traditional theatre with a circular auditorium, decorative plasterwork both around the stage and on the walls and ceiling.

Once seated the chairs were comfortable with a good amount of leg room and we had a great view of the stage.

My son has always been a huge fan of Justin, including watching Mr Tumble, Justin’s House and Gigglebiz on television. My son also enjoys playing with Mr Tumble toys and having myself read him stories from one of his many Mr Tumble books during bedtime.

The show consisted of Justin and his team of organisers attempting to organise a party which was hilarious to watch as they attempted to decorate a cake whilst Justin purposely squirts cream at the organisers.

There were also many magical moments which consisted of lullaby scene, where stars were projected around the theatre ceiling. The show also consisted of the cast playing games such as musical statues, followed by audience being forced to take part in dancing and singing to classics like heads, shoulders, knees and toes and the Hokey Cokey which was great fun.

The set was extremely colourful and bright, with excellent realistic sounds followed by streamers that exploded into the audience at various times throughout the show.

I would 100% recommend the tour to others and I shall definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for future nearby shows.
