Best of Friends
Reviewed by Petra Aston with help from Emma and Oliver
I was really excited to be told that we are able to review the Justin Fletcher CD as he is a big hit in our house.
Emma and Oliver, 26 months old twins are very into their dancing at the moment and love their music. I did tell them that I had a surprise and put the CD on, unfortunately I didn’t get the reaction I was hoping to get from them.
I started to play fast forward the CD to find a song which they would like and hopefully start to dance to. It didn’t take very long and both came running back into the kitchen and started to listen to the music. I think it has only taken few songs and I have found myself and the kids dancing to Reach for the Stars!
I have to say I didn’t really get on with the CD at the beginning as I thought Justin Fletcher is not the best singer but as the kids really like him I have been putting the CD on every day.
It has taken a few listens but I am glad I did, as he has really grown on me and I enjoy his music. The songs are clever as the lyrics are for kids and the music has got a real swing to it. And before I knew it found myself dancing and clapping along to the songs. The kids absolutely love it now and are very vocal when I say I’m putting it on.
The CD composes of some well-known recent songs, and classics with a modern twist. The songs all have a good beat and rhythm, and I even caught my husband dancing along to them with the kids! The album features 20 songs including his brand new song Best Of Friends, Rockin’ Robin, Ugly Duckling, Ten Green Bottles, Jump Jive An’ Wall, This Old Man, Reach, Pop Goes The Weasel, We’re Off To See The Wizard, One Man Went To Mow, You’re A Pink Toothbrush, The Clapping Song, Zip A Dee Doo Dah, There’s A Hole In My Bucket, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, Sing A Song Of Sixpence, Let’s Go Fly A Kite, If I Only Had A Brain, The Prune Song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Rockin Robin is a big hit with kids as they can jive to the music with mum and dad!
If you are a fan of Justin Fletcher I would definitely recommend this CD, the kids will love it and you will enjoy the dancing too!
