John Adams Gross Magic Set Review

Reviewed by Jenny Seymour
Struggling for Christmas gift inspiration? Christmas is the one time that things may appear on your kids Christmas lists that you may not otherwise think of buying, but Father Christmas finds it more difficult to say no! This is one of those things for me. My son loves both magic and he also adores toilet humour! What better to be top of his Christmas list, but this magic set which teaches him simple tricks that are gross to put it mildly and even includes a plastic toilet!
This set contains all you need to learn how to make bogies vanish; rip your veins out (!?) and clean toilet paper!
This Gross Magic set from John Adams comes well boxed, robust packaging and definitely makes it clear what is in the box – the most extreme thing in magic! The box certainly entices any “gross” magician with photographs of the tricks being performed and slime.
In the box, there is:
- Instruction booklet
- 2 x elastic bands
- Small metal ring
- 2 x bogie paddles
- 1 x small pot with lid
- 1 x large pot with lid
- Plastic box and lid
- Dice
- Card cube
- Squidgy brain
- Loose tooth
- Brown slime
- 1 x long vein
- 1 x medium
- 1 x short vein
- Dustbin ith base and lid
- Dustbin lid liner
- 4 x large sponge bogies
- 8 x small sponge bogies
- Cockroach egg envelope
- 2 x cockroach
- 6 x poo cards
- Toilet roll machine and paper

Gross Magic plumbs new depths in bad taste apparently, so, as the box says this gift is not for anyone under 8 years old. However, it would be the most amazing Christmas present for your yeuchy gross-loving kids!
We have had lots of John Adams sets before and my kids have loved learning the magic tricks. The instructions give you lots of tips that apply more generally for any magician – practice your tricks: the more you practice, the smoother your tricks will appear – and never reveal how you performed the trick.
This set will encourage your child to practice and practice each trick and provides hours of fun! My son is always eager to show his “gross” tricks, but so far I have managed to contain him in showing them to his closest friends and family! He he he!
As noted above, the set is recommended for children over the age of 8 years old, so please be aware of this before buying it as a gift!
This is a twist on the traditional magic set from John Adams, but it does make an ideal Christmas gift for those kids that love a bit of toilet humour! A great fun way (and gross) way for kids to entertain their friends and family.
