I’ve been a huge Michael Jackson fan for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with Michael Jackson and own all of the CDs. I was lucky enough to see him live at Wembley Stadium!
When I discovered I was going to see Jackson Live in Concert starring Ben at the Grove Theatre in Dunstable I think I turned up expecting to be disappointed and didn’t expect it to be that good. How wrong could I be?! The audience ranged from 7 to about 77.
It was an AMAZING show. I spent the first song wondering if he was miming. Ben who is Michael Jackson is warm, friendly and extremely talented.
There were hits from every decade that had me singing along and tapping my feet. Some of the audience were a little reserved at the beginning but by the end of the show the entire theatre was standing singing then stamping their feet chanting more more – slightly crazy but an amazing atmosphere.
The show was made up of Michael Jackson, 2 backing, singers 3 dancers, guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. It was like a mini concert. The live band was outstanding combined with the brilliant lighting and choreography it was a completely captivating show.
The star of the show was “Michael” and the guitar player. They should be in huge big stages not little theatres.
Overall the experience left me a little sad remembering the loss of such a super star but happy that the memory is keeping going with such a good tribute act. I will definitely be going again next year.
