Horrid Henry Sticker Book by Francesca Simon Review

Reviewed by Gemma Gough
My six year old son has read a lot of the Horrid Henry storybooks, written by Francesca Simon and illustrated by Tony Ross. He really enjoys them so he was delighted to receive this sticker book. The first page has a space for the child to write their name and age and Angus liked this, he was quick to show his younger sister that the book belonged to him!
I was pleased to see that there were plenty of stickers, six sheets of them (over 200 stickers), of various sizes and including all of the characters from the books. There are ten different scenes in the book including Henry’s bedroom, his classroom and a birthday party. Angus had great fun finding stickers appropriate to the scenes and sticking them on. He particularly liked making Henry’s bedroom extra messy!
On a practical note, the stickers were easily peeled from the backing paper which was good as this can be quite frustrating for children. Once placed on the scene though, the stickers weren’t really able to be repositioned easily but this wasn’t an issue for us.
This sticker booked kept Angus entertained for a while and it was nice to sit and chat with him about the scenes and the stickers he was choosing. He has completed all of the scenes now and there are still lots of stickers left over.
