Frankie & Benny’s Altrincham Christmas Menu Review

Reviewed by Lucy Gwilliam
Last night I visited Frankie & Benny’s in Altrincham with my husband and my two children aged 2 and 5. We all love Frankie & Benny’s so we were very excited to be trying out their Christmas menu as a family.
We arrived at the restaurant in separate cars, as I was meeting my family there after I had finished work. We found it easy to park; there is parking on the side road, a carpark opposite and a Sainsbury’s carpark over the road. I had never been to this Franky & Benny’s before but I found it easy enough to find as did my husband.
Inside the restaurant, our table was decorated with children’s activity packs with crayons, Christmas hats, party poppers and Christmas crackers. My children were in their element and had a great time popping the party poppers and pulling the crackers.
We had the Christmas menu and the children’s menu to choose from. We decided to order chicken bites for our two year and the chicken wraps for our 5 year old daughter. They came out with our starters of cheese and bacon skins and buttermilk chicken tenders. There was a good selection of choice and we did struggle to make a decision. The staff were amazing though and didn’t rush us to order.
My husband ordered Frankie’s Festive Dinner for his main course (half a roast chicken with pigs in blankets, stuffing balls, rosemary roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables, and red wine gravy on the side,) and I went for the Peppered Salmon Fillet (peppered salmon fillet with rosemary roasted potatoes, minted butter vegetables and Neapolitan sauce on the side). Our food was delivered in a timely manner, looked and tasted amazing. The choice on the menu was really good and there were many things which I would have liked to try, such as the Festive Pizza and the Mojito Salad. There were some lovely Christmas desserts on the menu including Chocolate yule log, peach and raspberry pie and red, white and blue Sundae.
I would have loved to try the Chocolate Yule Log but my husband ordered us all desserts from the main menu whilst I was taking my son to the toilet. He ordered chocolate fudge cake for himself, me and our daughter and a children strawberry sundae for our son. The chocolate fudge cake was divine and we all polished off our plates.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The staff were extremely attentive and looked like they enjoyed working at F&B’s (this is something I really like to see, having worked in restaurants for 10 years). The food was delicious and my children had a great time playing with their activity packs and dancing around the restaurant (I can’t take them anywhere!). I would rate this menu and experience 5 out of 5. Thank you Frankie & Benny’s, keep up the good work!
