Happy Days: A New Musical is currently playing at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking and I went along to see it. The theatre has had a fantastic refurbishment with a great colour scheme throughout. The Ambassadors Lounge is guaranteed to cater for your needs with red carpet treatment from £15.
Like the popular TV show, Happy Days the Musical is set in the innocent days of the 1950s with the fashion being leather or baseball jackets and jeans and flowing skirts for the girls and also rocking the double denim look. The show is mostly set at Arnold’s Diner and is well written. It took me back to watching the show when I was in love with Chachi, yes me and Chach… (not the Fonz), although with Ben freeman playing the Fonz I think my mind has changed. This production also stars Heidi Range of the Sugarbabes, their longest serving member and boy can that girl sing! She holds a Brit and a MTV award. Ben Freeman best known as Scott Windsor from Emmerdale is the Fonz and Mrs Cunningham was no other than everyone’s favourite from Buck’s Fizz, Cheryl Baker who looked and sounded amazing too.
The story was set at Arnold’s Diner see’s Pinky and the Fonz trying to save it from being turned into a car park. I can’t tell you anymore without spoiling it but the 50s outfits and the very clever set, I thought, made it all real It was a real feel good show and very family friendly and lots of fun too!

I loved singing along with the show. A great feel good show. My cup of tea all day long.
