I was so pleased I had the opportunity to review this wonderful product. What a great idea for any child who doesn’t enjoy brushing teeth. It really gives them more of an incentive to brush their teeth.
When the gum Playbrush arrived the packaging was great, it was well packaged, strong and sturdy with picture of the product character on the front. His name is Buddy Dayo the dragon. On opening the packaging the first thing I did was obviously go to the instructions and look at getting the Playbrush set up. The instructions were so simple and straight to the point which was great, with bold writing and pictures which made it so easy. Setting up the toothbrush was really easy and only took a small amount of time.
There are a selection of colours of toothbrushes to choose from with the base colour being blue or pink. The toothbrushes are very well made, strong and sturdy and very durable making it very protected from breaking if it was to be dropped.
There are two different sizes available for toddlers or juniors which make it easy for big or small hands to use so suitable for many ages. You can get regular replacement heads so your child can enjoy the brush for many years ahead. It has really nice rubber grip making it really easy to handle.
This brush comes with an app that you download from Google Play or app store with a great amount of interactive games to enjoy playing while using the toothbrush. This connects through Bluetooth, some of these interactive games are colouring, puzzles and sports games. To get all of the games supplied and to use the app to its fullest you will need to subscribe.
The app tracks how many times teeth are brushed in a week getting rewards for each time they are brushed. It also tracks how well it is done as the brush has wonderful sensors so it will prompt your child on what is not done and how it needs doing. It teaches them how to brush teeth as they play.
Let your child choose a profile character for their app and get a 30 day trial to begin with and then afterwards it is either £34.99 yearly or £2.92 a month so really affordable. You also get regular new brush heads sent to you in the post so it’s a win win.
I was looking through the settings on the app I found that the vibration setting can be changed. There are 2 settings on this which is handy with having a child with sensory issues. Think maybe a few more of these power levels would have been good to start off with, a low setting and work your way up for children who are not used to using a rechargeable toothbrush. Apart from that it’s a great product, it even comes with a two year warranty from date of purchase.
The price of the gum Playbrush is £29.99. I think as a parent looking at the price I would see the price and think ‘no I’m not buying that!’ but now, after seeing it in action it’s worth every penny!
