Groov-e Kidz Wireless DJ Style Bluetooth Headphones Review

Reviewed by Lauren O’Hara

My four-year-old loves using his kindle to watch videos but recently I noticed him biting his headphones wire while watching! When given the opportunity to review the Groov-e Kidz Wireless DJ Style Bluetooth Headphones I thought it would be the perfect solution with them being wireless. When I started researching, I found that both The Sun and Independent newspapers have featured the Groov-e Kidz Wireless Headphones in their papers as some of the best headphones for children and I totally agree with them. I found the headphones super easy to use and the sound quality was great for my son.

You can buy the Groov-e Kids Wireless headphones in either blue or pink and you can connect them to any device that has Bluetooth. The box contains really easy to follow instructions and we were able to pair the headphones within seconds. We have been using them with my iPhone and Kindle and have had no problems. I also like how the songs and volume can be adjusted from the headphones. There are buttons on the side of the headphones that can be used to turn the headphones on and off, move to the next track and turn the volume up or down with long or short presses depending on what you want to do. Again, everything is clear in the instructions and ready easy to follow and get the hang of.

The headphones come with a USB cable for charging. It does not come with a wall charger but if you’re house is anything like ours we have loads laying around so this isn’t a problem. You can also charge the headphones with your laptop or computer via the USB cable. The instructions state to fully charge the battery for 2 hours before first use. Once the battery is fully charged the LED indicator light will turn off and the battery should last 7.5-10 hours of ‘music time’ or 24 hours ‘standby.’ I just made sure the headphones went back on charge when my son’s Kindle did and it worked great. If you did forget to charge them you can also use them as wired headphones using the provided audio cable.

The headphones also have an audio sharing port which can be used with the audio cable. This is great if you have two children who want to watch at the same time each using their own headphones. We didn’t use this feature but I can see how this would work great. We do a lot of plane journeys and we will definitely be using this is in future with both our sons. It also has a built-in microphone for using with phone calls but again we haven’t used this feature as my son is only 4.

I would definitely recommend these headphones. I found them really easy to set up and my son loves them. He says they are really comfy and he hasn’t complained about not being able to hear (which he did with the last pair we had).
