My children, particularly my twins, are Frozen mad. One of the first songs my boys learnt was Let It Go. We were therefore delighted to get the opportunity to go down to The Lowry outlet to review their Frozen Experience.
On the day we were due to go, we hit a lot of unexpected traffic and sadly arrived 15 minutes after our allocated time. The lovely information desk staff on the ground floor helped organise for us to attend the next show instead.
We headed upstairs at around 2.50pm and were greeted by a friendly member of staff who checked our booking. We then headed past some fake show and trees into a big room. At the front of the room was a well decorated stage. A member of staff instructed us where to sit, which was on the floor with our toddlers. Parents of the older children stood behind the area of the floor where the children were sitting. After a short wait, Anna, Elsa and Olaf came out. Their costumes looked stunning. The dialogue was funny. There was a very funny part where they picked a couple of children from the audience to carry out an activity. All in all Anna, Elsa and Olaf sang 4-5 songs. Our favourites were ‘Do you wanna build a snowman?’ and of course ‘Let It Go’.
I loved how Anna and Elsa got the kids in the audience involved, splitting the room and having a competition to see who could do something the loudest and getting the kids joining in with the songs and up dancing.
Their vocals were fantastic. All in all, it was 25-30 minutes long. I felt that about 45 minutes would have been a better length. There was then an opportunity afterwards to meet the performers.
We had a great time and would recommend it, and it is excellent value for money.
Tickets cost £4 per child with one adult free. Additional adults £4. Runs every weekend until 20 December 2015.
