Our six year old is going through a phase of loving any type of bathroom humour, especially anything to do with farting, just saying the word makes her laugh and we often can’t help laughing along with her although we have made it clear that this is not appropriate in all situations and do hope it will be a phase she grows out of, but for the moment it is a little joke she likes to share with her older brother.
When we received this game to review she squealed with delight and could not wait to start playing with it, she was giggling all the time we were unpacking it.
I love the simplicity of the game, children do not have the patience to wait while an adult reads lots of instructions and it didn’t take me long to understand how this one would work and we could start playing.
The game has minimal packaging which is recyclable and parts of the toy have been made with recycled plastic. Inside the box is a bright blue fluffy sloth attached to a Velcro belt, the sloth has an opening in the back and inside is a small plastic ball which holds a cube where all the noise comes from, (batteries are included) this needs to be switched on before you start to play the game.
There are also 50 cards featuring yoga poses.
Each player is dealt five cards and the object of the game is to move as slow as a sloth to make the yoga pose on the card without the sloth farting more times than stated on the card by little green icons, the more complex the pose, the more farts you are allowed.
Our first game we kind of played in reverse, we just wanted to make the fart noise as much as possible because it made us laugh and then we went completely mad and started dancing while wearing it, not how it was supposed to be used but did it matter? It was so much fun and I enjoyed listening to our little one giggle so much.
I think as the novelty of the fart noise wears off we will start playing the game more seriously and as it is intended. At the moment myself and our five year old have taken charge of this game but I can see all the family playing this the next time we are all together with hilarious consequences. The Velcro belt is fully adjustable to fit children and adults.
Suitable for any age over 4 years and can be played alone or with any number of players.
Would make a great Christmas gift for any age or a combined gift for a family, imagine the fun they could have together. I would take this as a hostess gift if I was visiting a family.
Get the all the family up and active together and away from their screens.
