If you haven’t heard of FabFitFun before it’s a subscription service where every season you receive a box full of products in relation to things like beauty, fitness, wellbeing and even the home.
Each box costs $49.99 but has a value of over $200 worth inside so it’s a great way of discovering new brands and products at an affordable price and it’s so lovely to receive the box through the post.
The company is based in America but do ship to the UK, so all the details of how this works is explained on their website when you order.
I received the FabFitFun Winter Box to review, which is illustrated by Geraldine Sy. A gorgeous festive scene covers the box entirely. Each box is obviously themed to the season, so my Winter Box had stunning snow scenes with snow-capped houses and beautiful trees. The female character is depicted skating on the ice, making a snowman and walking a dog. It’s all in beautiful white and shades of blue and pink and the inside of the box is the same with the scene in a pretty bright pink.
The time taken to produce such a lovely Winter Box makes it the perfect Christmas gift for yourself or to purchase for a friend or family member who loves to try out a range of products.
Inside the box my products were covered in white FabFitFun tissue paper which helps to build the excitement of seeing the products as you open it up.
The first product I was drawn to was the Original Pink Make Up Eraser. It’s a sustainable make up remover perfect for anyone looking to cut down on their use of wipes to help the environment. I loved the pink colour of the cloth and it was so soft.
To use I simply wet a section of the cloth and then use it in circular motions to erase all traces of my make-up. You can even use the other side of the cloth to exfoliate and then all you need to do is wash it a couple of times a week and it’s good to use again for 3-5 years which is amazing.
Another favourite product in the Winter Box was the Beauty Bakerie – Proof is in the puddin’ eyeshadow palette. It comes in a cardboard sleeve with delicious pudding and spoon artwork which is of course repeated on the actual palette itself. It’s a really gorgeous hard-pressed palette made up of matte and shimmer shades with fantastic names like Spiced Caramel and Almond Jelly.
We so often think about our faces and our bodies but sometimes neglect to take care of our hands. FabFitFun has this covered by including Thirsty Hands Super Hydrating Hand Mask from Nailsinc London. It works just like a face mask does but for your hands. You just slip them on like you would a pair of gloves and leave them on for 15-20 minutes. They contain shea butter and vitamin E and left my hands feeling so soft and hydrated and it’s the perfect excuse to relax for 20 minutes.
If you want something to read during this time, then you don’t need to look very far as every season in your box you get a fantastic FabFitFun magazine. I love reading and so really appreciated finding this in the box.
It contains some great self-care and wellbeing tips something the Winter Box is all about encouraging. It also features some really inspirational women and talks about the amazing work they do such as the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement to help raise awareness.
There is also a What’s in the box section which tells you more information about what you have received. You can customise your box as well as some things being selected for you, so you get to see the whole range of products. There is even an article on how you can repurpose and recycle your box which is fun for ideas and inspiration.
There were products for the face also included in my Winter Box and I’m really looking forward to trying out the pore cleansing clay mask from Erno Laszlo as it infuses the skin with moisture and nutrients which is definitely needed during these cold winter months.
I absolutely love the Soft Focus Glow Drops from Rodial. The bottle is stunning and looks amazing on my dressing table. I just use two drops and pat into the skin and it gives my face a lovely dewy look without make-up which is how I’ve been using it so far but it works as a primer so provides the perfect base for use with make-up.
A shampoo and conditioner set is included from R+CO which is paraben and sulphate free. It is also suitable for vegans and cruelty free so again another amazing product for those who want to cut down on the amount of chemicals they use in their beauty products and who are environmentally conscious.
There is also a Drybar Prep Rally – Prime & Prep Detangler spray which is a fab product as both myself and my daughter have extremely long hair so this product was perfect and is also great for anyone who uses heated appliances on their hair as it protects hair from heat up to 232°C.
It doesn’t even stop there! I have to tell you about the Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub. This product is again Vegan friendly, and it comes in a resealable pouch which is absolutely needed as you get a generous 200g product.
The instructions are really fun and quirky which I loved but are always super informative with the ingredients and how they all help to benefit your skin. If you love coffee scrubs or body scrubs in general then this is a fantastic product in the FabFitFun Winter Box.
