Having spent many holidays arguing over who was going to plug their smartphone/tablet/camera in first to charge I was really pleased to be given the opportunity to be able to test out one of the travel adapters from the extensive range at Traveldapter.
The Traveldapter is essentially a very useful 13A extension lead with a choice sockets, converter and length of flex. The simplest has two separate standard three pin UK sockets, 1 metre of flex end and either a EU or US adapter plug end. There are also adapters to suit South Africa and New Zealand/Australia so basically they have the whole world covered. Instead of the basic three pin UK socket you can also chose to have a USB port or a combination of both. At the other end of the scale there is a four socket and two USB port lead with 1.5 metres of flex that allows you to charge and or use six appliances at once, perfect for anybody from large families to professional photographers. All are earthed so are totally safe to use.
My main worry about this product was quality versus weight as the last thing you need when travelling is unnecessary weight. I certainly should not have worried as the quality was excellent, it felt strong and sturdy, yet was surprisingly lightweight. It’s easy to carry too, with a Velcro strap that keeps the flex neatly tied up in the clear plastic bag provided.
I think the Travedapter is an excellent product and with a huge range of different combinations of ports, flex length and countries it can be used in there will certainly be an adapter to suit every lifestyle. One of the main benefits, apart from stopping arguments, is that it stops you scrabbling around your hotel room pulling out lamps and kettles from sockets to find enough places to charge your phone. Easy to use, time saving and lightweight, I am sure any prospective purchaser will be pleased with this product.
