What a night – first off, well done to Disaronno for organising such an amazing night. I had no idea what to expect but wow…!
The venue, The Golden Bee, is based in Shoreditch, a self-confessed “quintessential urban cocktail bar” and was a fabulous venue – and even though the rooftop terrace bar had been taken over by Disaronno logo-d everything (DJ Booth, Bar, tables, napkins… everything….) the Golden Bee still had their extensive wine and cocktail list available, and with views over London as the sun went down (so atmospheric!), it was the perfect setting for this special event.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed taking photos in the gigantic Disaronno bottle cut-out upon arrival and then took to lounging on the comfy seating with our delightful drinks. As the night went on we became aware that we were obviously in THE place to be as The Golden Bee was most definitely a star-studded affair – between us we spotted Sam Thompson, James Dunmore, Lonan O’Herlihy and Tiffany Watson of Made in Chelsea fame, not to mention singer Karen Harding, DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford and Sam Faiers from TOWIE. The glitterati truly were out in force!
The Disaronno cocktails were amazing – I really had no idea how diverse the liqueur could be and I have to admit I was a bit dubious as I often find Disaronno rather sweet, however all the cocktails I tried did not disappoint! The Disaronno Sour was delicious but the Smoking Mexican Sour was even better…. and almost floored me! The bar staff were great entertainment too – Disaronno even had their ‘Mixing Star’ Simone Rossi showing off his bar flaring skills, and everyone was in high spirits, so even though sadly Jack Savoretti couldn’t perform due to a family emergency, an entertaining night was had by all. Hudson Taylor were fab and Ghostpoet’s DJ set was absolutely brilliant! Before I knew it the evening was over and it was time for this Cinderella to head home for some beauty sleep.
So overall my Disaronno-themed evening gets a gold star and two thumbs up. If you’re looking for a fab night filled with cocktails and entertainment look no further – get yourself on the list now so you don’t miss out on all the fun and glamour of the Disaronno rooftop terrace party, and don’t forget they’re happening around the country so there might be one taking place near you over the summer!
