This film stars Danny Dyer as a schizophrenic murdering escapee from Broadmoor secure hospital. He carjacks a young nurse (Anna Walton – new up and coming actress) and then embarks on a journey of horror, terrorising her and murdering people who get in his way.

Dyer is well suited to this violent and disturbing role, and Walton plays a fantastic part throughout as the petrified victim (I’m convinced she’ll be seen in big films in the future). It is not overly violent or gory, and keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat, wondering what will happen next. There are a couple of unexpected twists in the tail, to keep you on your toes. But I think it is let down with an ending that seems to come too soon and not very dramatically.

Overall I would recommend this film to anyone who likes a good thriller. My only disappointment was that it seemed to come to an abrupt ending, which could have been made a bit more interesting.
