Designs By Lolita Christmas Reindeer Carousel Wine Glass Review

I love the preparation of Christmas and choosing gifts for loved ones. For me, it’s not about what I get but seeing peoples faces when they open their gifts from me on Christmas Day.

As soon as I saw this wine glass, I knew that it would be the perfect Christmas gift for my eldest sister. She is really into her token gifts and this is very much her style, especially for a Christmas treat.

The glass is beautifully presented in a cylinder shaped pink gift box. It arrived in perfect condition as it had been packed carefully. I always worry about have fragile items delivered by courier, but there was no need to worry as it was perfectly pristine when it arrived.

The glass is beautifully hand painted with a reindeer carousel. The colours are exquisitely vivid and the detail is so very pretty. In addition to the painted images, there are lovely jewelled embellishments to further bling up your wine glass.

There are a huge variety of glasses on the Lolita website including festive glasses and occasion glasses. They are all truly unique and a really tasteful gift to give any lady who loves to have a flair to her wine glass. Each wine glass is entirely exclusive and no two are the same. They begin with a sketch from the artist before being artisan blown and hand painted with the beautiful images. Each glass is painted in layers, between firing. It is a painstaking process for the creators and it pays off with such gorgeous end results.

Lolita glasses where given life when the creator went for a cocktails with her friends and Lolita herself realised how they all had their own unique style. She wanted to replicate this by creating glasses that were unique to the owner. She developed her ‘concept in 2001 and after sketching, planning and nurturing the line, the “Love My Martini™” collection blossomed in 2004 to soon become the hottest gift brand in America today.’

Made from artisan blown glass. Height is 22.5cm. All Lolita glasses are hand painted and should be hand washed only. You should hand wash for 20 or 30 seconds and quickly dry it with a soft towel to avoid damage to the glass.

I really like this gift idea. I love a unique and quirky gift and this really is that. I know my sister will love it when I gift it to her for Christmas (although I am debating keeping it for myself and making her jealous). It’s a very well made and well designed gift and I am extremely impressed overall. Out of the Christmas range available, I think the reindeer carousel is my favourite piece.
