Getting ready for Christmas I was eager for some good Stocking filler ideas for my daughters so I was delighted to be sent one of the Cry Babies Magic Tears Stars Talent Babies and a Cry Babies Magic Tears Monster Pet.

There are 8 of the Cry Babies Talent Babies to collect, we were sent the super cute ‘Dreamy’ her character is based around a unicorn which suited my daughter just fine as she is a unicorn enthusiast.  The Cry Baby figure comes with an outfit, dummy, bottle and hood as well as a surprise.

The outfit is made from a stretchy rubbery material and stretches easily onto the mini doll, so little hands can do this independently.  Each outfit matches the CryBabies talent, Dreamy’s little outfit has roller-skates.  To make the doll cry you can feed it water from the bottle and squeeze its tummy and tears will fall.  This makes it good fun in the bath too.

My daughter is familiar with the Cry Babies TV series so was really engaged with these little dolls, she has a couple from an older series but these talent stars come with more play opportunities, such as the outfit and hood, she said she would like to collect the set so big thumbs up from her.  If she’s on the nice list she may just get another one for her stocking.

The Cry Babies Monster Pet I was sent is very cute and very pocket sized.  There are 9 to collect and are made from a squishy material, very nice and tactile to hold.  They come with a tiny chair, a personal accessory and some stickers.  We received Lil who is blue with pink stars.  These can also be used as a pencil topper or charm you can add to a zip of a bag, pencil case or even an item of clothing.  I thought these were great ideas and will hopefully prevent the little monster pet being long forgotten in the bottom of a drawer or toy box.

I don’t love all the difficult to open plastic packaging but I do like that you can see which one of the Cry Babies and Monster pets you are buying through the plastic, so many collectible toys now are hidden until opening resulting in duplicates, disappointment and wasted money, this actually gives the buyer a chance to collect a full set.

The Cry Babies toys are affordable and available from many mainstream retailers, I saw them in the supermarkets too. The Talent Babies are around £9.99 which is decent value and the Monster Pets are around £3.99 which makes it a great pocket money toy.

I would recommend these for anyone wondering what to stuff in those stockings, any little ones who have a love for dolls will be pleased to unwrap these cuties.
