Charmed by Michelle Krys Review

Reviewed by Lucy Lowndes

Charmed is the second book by Michelle Krys and picks up where her debut booked Hexed finishes. After reading the first book, Hexed, I couldn’t wait for book number 2 to be released. Hexed finished on a really good cliff hanger so I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this one.

From the back of the book …
Since Indie Blackwood discovered she was a witch, life has been pretty crazy. Now her best friend Paige is missing, kidnapped by the Priory and taken to Los Demonios, an alternate dimension of Los Angeles filled with evil paranormals.

Indie is desperate to find a way into the underworld prison. But facing the dark world’s most dangerous witches and warlocks means keeping her plan a secret from her boyfriend, Bishop, and forging alliances with a seriously sexy sorcerer. No one who goes in ever comes out…

The book itself has a very similar cover to Hexed. Very dark with a blonde haired girl stood under some lightening – very eye catching.

As soon as I stated reading I was not disappointed, it quickly refreshes you during the first chapter about what previously happened in Hexed and how it ended, then it draws you back into the story and has you hooked straight away.

The story is fast paced and well written, Indie is just as likeable in this book as she was in the first. I would have liked to have seen more of Bishop in this one, as he was one of my favourites in the previous book, but overall I was not disappointed.

If you are a supernatural fan then this series is definitely one for your list. I would love to see another book released in this fantastic series.
