I love giving a personalised gift and so was very pleased to be chosen to review a Cewe personalised photo gift box for Easter. The box comes with two photos of your choice, inside and outside and a choice of either Ferrero chocolates, Kinder chocolates or a compartment to fill your own. My mum loves Ferrero chocolates so I chose this option to give as a gift to Nana from my nine year old son.
The website is easy to navigate, there are separate tabs across the top for all the different product options, and there are lots, and photo gift boxes is one of them. I have done a fair few photo’s gifts since my son was born and they are normally fairly time consuming, but in this case with only two pictures to choose and place I thought it would be easy. Uploading photos was easy, just drag and drop from your laptop or USB drive, and doing the text box on the inner picture was very straight forward. The text box on the outer box was trickier, as I had quite a dark photo and I struggled to find the right colour and font to show up correctly. Unfortunately, this caused a problem with the printing as I was to find out later.
It was very easy to order as I had been sent a voucher code from Cewe, on the payment page you can either pay by card or input a voucher code, both were extremely simple. Almost immediately I got a receipt saying my order was being processed.
About a week later my gift box arrived, and straight away I noticed a problem, the front text said Happy Easter Daddy and inside the wording said Nana! Not sure why or how that happened but it gave me a chance to contact their customer service through live chat and see what could be done. Well, they couldn’t be more helpful, the friendly agent told me about their 100% satisfaction guarantee, which I hadn’t seen on the website, and let me know that if I sent it back, freepost with a link she sent me, that they would send me a voucher code for a new one. The link worked perfectly, and I printed off the label, sent the box back and waited for the new code to be sent. It worked well and was very simple but be aware it takes a couple of weeks to get a replacement by the time you have received the code and re-ordered.
When the new gift arrived, it was worth the wait with a large photo on the outside and the wording Happy Easter Nana, and a smaller picture inside with another text box, I wrote Lots of Love this time so I couldn’t get it wrong! Inside was a selection of 18 Ferrero chocolates in three different varieties laid out in an attractive design.
The gift box is a perfect alternative to an Easter egg, especially if the recipient likes Ferrero or Kinder and the addition of two personalised photos makes it a special gift. I did think it was a touch pricy though at £19.99, £17.99 for the Kinder option. If you have a smaller budget check out the very large range of personalised gifts on the Cewe website with mugs starting at £7.99. (free P & P starts at a spend of £30.00)
Great product selection and excellent customer service should make Cewe your go to for personalised gifts.
