What a delight to have the pleasure of reviewing this production of Cats.

To begin a wonderful experience I was given seats that were outstanding. The playhouse is always a very special venue to attend and the history just emits from every detail of the building. From the minute the curtain went up the audience were hooked. The cast were spectacular. What I found even more rewarding was that the audience were brought into the show on a number of occasions when the cast ventured out amongst the delighted viewers. The costumes were so realistic and the cast’s feline like movements really had you convinced.

After the short interval the stage burst back into action with the same enthusiasm that brought the opening half to an enjoyable end. Skimbleshanks was a firm favourite of mine and the character was played perfectly. There were a mix of gorgeous voices making up the main cast and the rendition on ‘Memory’ was particularly hypnotising.

Overall the show was just amazing! If you can, I thoroughly urge you all to go see it. Especially in the Playhouse. The staff are so welcoming and happy to help. It truly is an experience that has to be felt.
