My first impression of the b.box Insulated Food Jar Mini was how cute it was, it is a two-tone blue with a little fox on the front. If you like to coordinate your feeding jars and equipment, this particular jar belongs to the Ocean collection. I have found some of the Ocean Collection also on Amazon.co.uk.
I found the jar to be very well made and robust; it is very easy to open and close and has a good seal. I found it to be easy to clean, especially as the inner seal is really easy to remove and replace. Being stainless steel, it helps to stop the growth of bacteria and mould, as long as you clean it after each use. The mini jar can be washed in the dishwasher, however, they do recommend that it be hand-washed to preserve the print on the outside of the jar. Being stainless steel, it is not suitable for the microwave. I like that the jar contains no BPA, PVC or Phthalates, even though they are not banned in products. I do prefer to purchase food storage items, especially for children, without them.
The b.box Insulated Food Jar Mini holds up to 210ml and can keep food warm for up to 4 hours and cold for up to 6 hours and is leak proof. When I tested this I found that it lost only a few degrees with hot food over 4 hours and again only a few degrees when used for cold food. We filled it full of water, shook it for a while and it did not leak.
The mini insulated food jar is ideal for travel; it is small enough to fit in most bags, easy to open, and does keep food hot or cold, which is ideal for feeding little ones on the go. The jar has a parent proof lid which means that it cannot be over tightened promoting independents. My daughter borrowed it to take to work, and said it kept her pudding cold all day, so it is not only for little ones, but big ones can also benefit from it as well. So for practicality it is a huge thumbs up.
I know that there are a lot of insulated jars on the market aimed at young children, at varying prices. The b.box Insulated Food Jar Mini retails currently on Amazon.co.uk at £15.99, which having tested it I think is a good price. It is of great quality, nice colour scheme, versatile, can store hot or cold food, it is easy to clean, store and carry, and it also contains no harmful chemicals.b.
b.box is an Australian company founded in 2007, when I looked on their website www.bboxforkids.com I found pretty much everything you could need to feed your children on the go, or even at home. They have some great collections and collaborations but you do have to add on international delivery charges.
I think ordering from Amazon.co.uk works out quicker and cheaper in the long run especially if you have Amazon prime delivery is usually free, and they do stock a good variety of b.box products and replacement items such as straws. The jar is ideal for parents on the go, with babies and young children. If like us you spend a lot of time outdoors It is ideal, due to its size and it is leak-poof. It would make a nice baby shower gift, or part of a christening gift.
I give the b.box Insulated Food Jar Mini 5/5 , its versatile, design, and works. I would recommend it to anyone.
