The Bond Touch is beautifully packaged and very similar to the type used for a well known brand’s products, you receive two individually packaged bracelets each with there own usb charger , the bracelets are adjustable and have a modern minimal look, the set I received were black with a silver steel loop holding the module onto the silicone strap but you can also get the loop in black or rose gold. They are waterproof so you don’t have to worry about splashing them when you wash your hands, even if you jump into the pool up to 1 meter it will be safe. It also has a good battery life which should last up to four days from one charge.
The Bond Touch has to be connected to your phone to be used. First thing to do is charge them up. This is very easy and can be done without removing the module from the bracelet, then download the Bond Touch app to your phone and sync the band with your phone. Both band wearers have to do this. The step by step instructions are very concise and easy to follow. It will work worldwide as long as you have wifi connection so you can keep in touch with your special person even when they are abroad .
You tap the module twice to wake it up then tap again to send to your band partner, to begin with I found I wasn’t tapping hard enough for it to work but I soon got the hang of it. Something else to remember is you have to the app open in order for it to work. You can customise the colour so the band will light up in your choice of colour. The vibration you receive from your band touch partner is very gentle and the light quite unobtrusive and no body would notice you were getting a message.
In these unusual times many people have to be apart from their loved ones and this device is a very quick and simple way of letting each other know your thinking of them and it is surprisingly comforting to know someone is thinking of you, we don’t always have the time to make a call or send a message and often we don’t need that type of contact but we can always tap a band every time a person comes into our mind just to let them know we are thinking of them and to get a signal back from them is very special .
I can see this device being helpful to anyone with anxiety or isolation issues. You could also invent your own morse code for messages. I am now passing this on to my niece ,her school bubble have had to self isolate and wants to set it up with her best friend.
There is lots of support and help on the bond touch web site and here you can also purchase replacement chargers or if you fancy a change silicone bands in 12 different colours.
