Bluey Pool Set Review

I am an absolute huge fan of any toy that encompasses sensory and interactive play. I find it is extremely important for any child’s development and Smyths Toys are very good at incorporating these into their toys, games etc.

I particularly love the colours the Bluey Pool Set has to offer. The colours shout out vibrant, loud and bright and they really are a great way to keep any child engaged in the whilst playing. The colours are as follows:-

The kit is amazing as it has a swimming pool which you can fill up with water. There are steps at the end of the swimming pool that lead up to a diving board. Me and my 3 year old Nephew had so much fun picking up Bluey the figure and dropping her into the water and making a splash. We sat Blue on the swimming rings whilst pushing her around the water before using the step at the other end of the pool which takes Bluey on to some decking, under the shade and next to a table.

There is a snorkel attachment which we used for Bluey so he could go snorkelling in the water. I added some tiny toys from another game we have and asked my Nephew to get Bluey to find them. I made reference to the colours, shapes and what the items were. By doing this, it was exceptionally fun, reward, gratifying, enjoyable and most importantly, it is exceptional from a sensory and interactive play perspective.

You are able to bend Bluey’s legs into a sitting position which we done so that Bluey could sit on the decking or even on the step at the end of the swimming pool.

The swimming rings fit over her and we interacted in terms of when my Nephew goes swimming and knew that Bluey needed to wear his swimming ring as it kept his safe.

We had so much fun, from splashing the water with Bluey, to splashing the water with each other, running round the garden avoiding the next person to splash you. This gem of a Pool Set really did get us out, into the garden and interact with each other. We made some fun memories and even took pictures. Bluey has a mask and we used the pretend water blaster to blast her and each other with it. What a great way to encourage interactive play.

My Nephew is going on holiday soon, it will be his first time abroad and I have decided that I’m going to make a passport for Bluey as my Nephew wants to take this Bluey and the kit on holiday with him.

Some would say £19.99 is a lot of money but you really can not put a price on playtime with a child and their development. Far better than having them stuck in front of the t.v, iPad or iPhone.
