Beauty subscription boxes have become very popular in the last few years, offering a convenient way to try a variety of products each month at a lower cost than buying them individually. With Beguile’s beauty boxes you can choose from a number of different subscription options, the best value box is a 12 month subscription which currently costs £35.99 per month while shorter terms work out a little more expensive – a 9 month box costs £38.99 per month, the 6 month box is £40.99 and a single month subscription is £45.99. You can look on their website for a preview of previous boxes, giving you a good idea of the kind of products that have been included in previous boxes. Whilst £35.99 per month may sound a bit expensive, the boxes do contain some luxury, high end brands and previous months boxes have included single items that retail for more than the cost of the box itself. Each box contains 4 or 5 full sized products and arrives in an eco-friendly recyclable cardboard box with vibrant pink tissue paper and all the beauty products are nestled in pink recyclable packing paper which makes it feel like a real treat when you open it.
When I opened my box I was really pleased with the contents which included some of my favourite brands – Clarins, Clinique REN and Liz Earle – here’s what I found inside:
Eyelure London Mogul Fake Mink Eyelashes
REN Flash Hydro Boost
Clarins SOS Hydra Refreshing Hydration Masque.
Clinique Quickliner for Eye Intense Black Eyeliner
Liz Earle Bourbon Vanilla and Clove Bud Botanical Body Cream
Beauty Blender Papaya Make up Sponge
After a quick search I estimated that the retail value of these products is well over £50, making the box a great buy, even with the one month subscription offer. With a beauty box you don’t choose the products yourself so there’s always a chance you’ll receive something you may not use – but these can make lovely gifts for friends.
The first product I tried was the Liz Earle Bourbon Vanilla and Clove Bud Botanical Body Cream. It has a wonderful scent, and the rich cream absorbed easily, leaving my skin soft and delicately fragranced. I also loved using the REN Flash Hydro Boost, which I was already familiar with. The hydration booster is ideal for dry skin and is applied to cleansed skin. Once applied it is massaged in with wet fingers until it’s fully absorbed.
The Beauty Blender Papaya Make up Sponge was another great item that I will use a lot. Made from non latex foam it is great for applying foundation. Simply wet the sponge with water, squeezing to remove the excess then dip it into your foundation before applying it to your face. I found it gave my make up a flawless finish. The Clarins SOS Hydra Masque, in a compact 15ml tube perfect for travel, felt soothing on my skin and was easy to remove with a splash of toner. My skin felt wonderfully soft and hydrated after use.
Since I have sensitive eyes, I was pleased to find Clinique’s Quickliner for Eyes Intense Black. This liner is easy to use, offering a solid line that enhances my eyes. As for the Eyelure lashes, I don’t use false lashes, so I plan to give these to a friend.
Beguile also offers Mini Me Beauty Boxes so children can enjoy their own special box of treats. These boxes include makeup, hair, and skincare products, along with fun accessories to complete their glam look. Each box costs £40 and typically contains these items, though the selection may vary depending on product availability.

Barry M Face jewels – These self adhesive gems were a big hit with my niece, they are easy to apply and add a glamorous touch to any outfit.
The Go Coconuts Deep Moisturising Pony Tail Mask is enriched with Marula oil which offers an intensive conditioning treatment which leaves hair soft, smooth and smelling fantastic. It worked wonders on my niece’s hair and we’ll certainly be buying more of these! Our box also contained a Barry M metallic cream eye shadow and a Collection Glam Crystals Liquid Eye Shadow which we had fun using to create some dazzling eye looks.
I think the Beguile Mini Me Beauty Boxes are a great idea for older children who are just starting to use make up. They offer a great selection of products to experiment with so they can enjoy their own beauty products without dipping into Mum’s more expensive collection!
Another important factor to consider when purchasing a beauty box subscription is the quality of customer service and I found the lady that I dealt with at Beguile to be incredibly helpful.
Overall, Beguile’s beauty boxes are a fantastic way to discover new brands and products. With the selection changing each month, you’ll get to explore a wide range of products throughout the year. With Christmas just around the corner these boxes make a wonderful for beauty lovers of all ages!
