Anita Extreme Control Sports Bra Review

Reviewed by Zoey Caldwell

I was really excited to receive the Anita Extreme Control Sports Bra (product code 5527) in the grey and black style. The Anita website shows that there are 7 design prints in this particular style and is available in cup size B-H, back sizes 30-46.

The bra arrived in a red box with an attractive looking model on the front, instantaneously I knew that I would however not look like the woman on the box when wearing the bra. The model wears it very well but if I am honest the sports bra is there as a support system for my breasts and back and I  totally am at peace with the fact that a sports bra is not going to make me look or feel sexy, but it can assist on my route into getting back to where I should be.

I am really overdue a new sports bra and require a really structured bra with maximum support. I was not disappointed. The bra did feel a little on the snug side compared with my current one, but then again, I did say I was very overdue a change.

The back strap sat comfortably where it needed too and due to the bra having a 4 deep clasp I felt really secure. The material was light and breathable, which I appreciate as I am not one of the chosen few to not sweat or look like I am on a  fashion shoot when exercising. I resemble a sun burnt, sweaty hippo so the more breathable the material the better. The back of the bra is a breathable mesh.

The cups of the bra have a  seamless microfibre lining and are very comfortable, there was no nipple rubbing along a seam as I jumped about doing a HIIT session, huffing and puffing made more bearable but not having to keep adjusting the position of my support system. The under-bust band is also microfibre and very soft against the skin, again it stays put allowing the bra to provide the maximum support that it promotes.

I am not a small busted girl and an issue that I face with any bras and swim wear are the shoulder straps, digging in or slipping. The snugness of this bra did mean that slipping was not going to be an issue but I always worry about the digging in. My shoulders have an indent from bras, however the Anita bra straps are padded and I did not feel any discomfort. The support was amazing and I believe that this has something to do with the stretchiness of the material, the bra moulds it self to your body and sits snugly where it should, no rubbing, chaffing and digging in, to be honest it sounds a little too good to be true for a bra hating woman however I was won over.

The bra is available from a number of websites and varies in price, Figleaves retails the bra at £54. The Anita website allows you to find your nearest supplier however none were particularly close so online shopping would be the way forward, so it is worth looking into, and with being supplied in different retail outlets prices may vary slightly.

I was extremely happy with the bra but would think twice paying £54 for it, but what price can you put on the ultimate control when exercising, bouncing boobs and black eyes are never a good look so if you have the cash why not treat yourself and your boobs to a steady bra excellently designed to take the pressure off exercise.
