An Evening with Incredible India

I was recently invited to an Evening with Incredible India at The Guoman Tower Hotel in London.
A great evening reflecting the great cultures we have in this world. Fantastic food and entertainment had by all. It felt like I had taken a step in to the Middle East with Indian wine tasting, henna stalls, gift stalls and bright colours bursting from everywhere.
We were each given a shawl as we arrived and met by an enormous mechanical elephant. We were then greeted pleasantly by an array of tasty bites not quite Indian but more oriental but tasty all the same. After tasting delicious lychee wine and having our hands prettily painted with henna we were sat for the evening’s entertainment. Full on Bollywood style bright colours and energetic dance filled the stage which was very entertaining with significance to regions Hindu, Urdu and Punjabi. After speeches and a slide show from the Hon. Minister of Tourism for India, dinner was served.
Amazing dishes full of flavour and colours to tantalise the taste buds what you would expect from a real home cooked Indian meal. With India not being somewhere I have visited it did show what I am missing out on.
A tremendous evening enjoyed by all showing the delights of visiting India and what a great tourist destination the country is.
