Well Milton Keynes was very busy on this cold and windy Wednesday evening when we arrived to watch the pantomime Aladdin starring Joe Pasquale and Lee Mead. Milton Keynes Theatre are hosting Aladdin for Christmas 2019 and we arrived by the skin of our teeth in time for Wednesday night’s performance. The area was busy but there is plentiful parking in the surrounding areas, if you have time there are many restaurants to suit all in the vicinity. We walked in to be surrounded by the loveliest stall of assorted flashing toys, who could resist equipping the children, not us for sure!

Well I had a bit of a mishap and arrived a day early for pantomime… my grandson and his lady friend were not impressed that we had nothing to watch. Everything came good today. You know what, I could not afford panto when our four children were little. I’m not sure when your children are under five that it’s worth the cost, but tonight’s show was good for the soul. I’ve not had the best day today and I did nothing but laugh for two plus hours.

I can’t recommend this show enough, its soul cleansing, it’s funny, funny, funny beyond words. Leave your life at the front door, go enjoy Joe Pasquale and friends for a few hours and forget your day to day life.

The pantomime loosely follows the tale of Aladdin, with the stars of the show being Joe Pasquale and Lee Mead, Lee of the astonishingly good looks and beautiful voice. You really won’t be disappointed with the singing dancing or costumes for this show. The costumes are bright, vibrant and funky, much like the cast really!

I think my favourite was Any Dream Will Do, loved it, loved Lee, loved the whole flipping thing. He has an amazing voice and stage presence. He is definitely someone I would love to see again. My favourite may have been Lee and Joe, but think the kids was the water pistols!

I took my seven year old grandson and his little lady friend, Evie, she belly laughed so much at one point she said I don’t even know why I’m laughing, isn’t that the best, it warmed my heart, I loved the fact that a show made children feel that way.

This show was fun, fun, fun from start to finish, we loved it, I would definitely go back to watch again, the sheer fun factor, that everyone from start to finish made it look like they were having the best fun made it top value for me.

Life’s too short people, go enjoy, laugh lots, live for the moment, make magical Christmas memories that you will treasure forever. I can’t think of a better way to spend an evening with your loved ones. This show is in Milton Keynes for a limited time, go enjoy with your family, you really won’t be disappointed.
