The Hawth in Crawley is easy to find and has a large amount of free car parking. It is a modern venue with large auditoriums. There are plenty of toilets, a cafe, restaurant and a number of bars for reasonably priced refreshments. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. What’s great about The Hawth is that there are no restrictive view seats in my opinion. Wherever you get seated you will get a great view of the stage. I’m never disappointed when I visit here.

Last night I took my very excited little sister to see ABBAMANIA at The Hawth. She had been waiting patiently for quite a while to see this show. On the way to the theatre she wanted to prepare herself so the ABBA playlist went on in the car and the singing began. The jury is out and it’s safe to say she loved the show! ABBA are won of the most well-known pop groups of all time, selling somewhere between 200-500 million albums and singles worldwide. Their music is iconic and it is guaranteed to fill any dance floor. In the last few years their music has resulted in a musical and two hit films – Mamma Mia and Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again!

Tonight’s show lived up to the expectations that you associate with ABBA. From the get-go, the audience were on their feet dancing, clapping and waving their arms along to the music. The band were incredibly talented with drum and guitar solos. Eva Scott (Agnetha) and Sharon Fehlberg (Frida) were brilliant together. They blended beautifully, were completely in sync with well thought out choreography, great costumes and they both had the most amazing vocal ranges imaginable. The whole ensemble made this show a complete success.

This show should not be missed. Brilliant music performed with energy, fun and passion. A must see for any ABBA fan but if you’re not particularly a fan I don’t doubt that you will still have a great time and come away feeling thoroughly entertained. For all the Dancing Queens out there.

Rating: 5/5
