Go Travel Microfibre Towel Review

If you are struggling for reasonably priced gift ideas, then Go Travel is a great place to start. Not just a great selection of travel related products it also has a huge selection for anyone on the go, such as power banks and charging cables.

One item that anyone would find useful, be it man woman or child, is a microfibre towel, fantastic for swimming, trips to the beach, taking to the park or travelling so I was very pleased to be offered the chance to test one out. When the towel arrived, it came in a surprisingly small resealable plastic pouch, marked XL. I wondered how big it could actually be based on the size of the packet but on opening I found it to be a generous 1600 x 700mm, pretty much the size of a sun lounger, so a great size for both drying yourself or just lying down on. The towel is made of 100% polyester microfibre so is very thin with no pile at all. This makes the towel very light at just over 200 grams, and very small when folded, around A5 when folded and smaller when rolled. The colour was super smart, a deep royal blue with blue and white stripes on one edge, much nicer than being plain, but dark enough not to immediately show marks. Although the towel doesn’t look that absorbent compared to a big thick fluff one, it dried my son really quickly after a shower and as another plus the towel itself dried really quickly 5-10 minutes on the line and it was dry. When its time to wash the towel, it is machine washable at 30 degrees, but as expected its non- iron, it is also not suitable for tumble drying but it dries so quick you really wouldn’t need too.

The towel has a large elasticated loop on one corner which has two uses, one; to hang up your towel and keep it off the floor whilst not using it and two; it loops around the towel when rolled or folded to ensure it stays neat and small for popping in your bag or suitcase. I thought this was a great space saving idea. Being so small and light these are great gifts if you aren’t seeing the recipient in person and are needing to post as they will easy fit in a small parcel and are pretty much guaranteed to not be broken on arrival.

I loved the microfibre towel and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, I will be adding mine to my bag for days out and my suitcase for longer trips safe in the knowledge that it will not take up much room or be too heavy to carry.
