I saw Tony Law as part of his Nonsense Overdrive tour at the Lowry Theatre in Salford. Tony or the Tone-zone is probably best known to those of us who don't frequently watch stand-up comedy for his TV appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Have I got news for you.

His stand up covers the ramblings of his mind covering topics as diverse as breastfeeding, space, dinner parties and of course owlcats. I have to admit not really knowing him before this performance it took me a while to tune into his quirky ways, however judging from the majority of the audience he has a large following of supporters. I found him to be very witty and funny and have already caught myself looking for more of his work. Its hard to describe his style or compare him to other comedians, but then I guess that is a compliment – he isn't like anyone else he simply is Tony Law.

He is definitely worth going to watch if he's appearing at a venue or festival near you.

Tony is currently performing at the Soho Theatre, London until the 11th January.
