I was lucky enough to catch this show at The Lowry Theatre in Manchester, touring until June, and what a show it is.
Suggs, real name Graham McPherson, is the frontman of seven piece Ska band Madness who at their peak had 20 hit singles in eight years. This one man show (with Deano on piano) zig zags through his roller coaster life from his childhood in 1970's Soho, through finding fame and brings us up to the present.
When hitting 50 the death of his cat and his daughters leaving home prompted him to look for his father he had never known a journey begins that you feel you are on too!
This hilarious and at times very moving show is brilliant, Suggs has the whole audience engaged throughout and the evening flew by. He tells his story with wit and ease and litters it with some of his best loved songs, ending with the fantastic It Must Be Love.
If I could I would give it a 10/5, yes it is that good!
One not to be missed.
