OXO Good Grips Delicate Duster Review

I received a funky little item to test, the OXO Good Grips Delicate Duster. This is a small handled duster with a removal multi-microfibre fluffy head. At first I thought it couldn’t possibly be up to the job, due to the size, however I was soon proven wrong. My house is sadly always wanting in the dust department due to 2 adults, 2 messy children, and 2 hairy pets, along with unknown spiders being in residence. I often pretend I haven’t seen a number of webs draped in corners, just because I can’t be bothered to reach up there to try and get them down.

The OXO Good Grips Delicate Duster however does make reaching awkward corners much easier, and swiped away the webs quickly. I tried it out on all dusty areas, with the worst being my TV base – the majority of dusted was picked up by the microfibre head straight away without the need for polish.

The fluffy head does a great job of absorbing all the dust/webs etc… and they just stick there. You can do a fair amount of dusting with this little thing before considering cleaning it as well.

The head is removable by pressing a couple of buttons and you can simply throw it in the washing machine on a delicate cycle to clean it up, then use it all over again.

The handle is short which is fine, but I would have preferred it to extend just to help get right up into the corners of the ceiling for example. In addition there is a hole at the end of the handle to allow you to hang it up for storage, however unless you have a long thin hook you won’t have much luck hanging this up. I left the plastic packing tag attached however, which has made hanging it up much easier!

I’m pleased to have a new tool in my cleaning arsenal – anything that makes cleaning that much quicker and easier gets my vote.
