My grandson is a massive Monsuno fan, so to say he was excited about receiving this fantastic toy is an understatement. For those who aren't in the know (me being one of them), Mosuno is an animated TV show which is very popular amongst the younger generation.
The packaging is bright and states what's enclosed – 2 launch ramps, 2 rails, and 1 strike sector base. In the set we are reviewing there is also a handy drawstring bag to store and transport the set in. But I am not sure if this is right for all boxes.
The instructions were clear and it took only minutes to set up the arena ready for battle. I have to say it did look pretty impressive when put together and is also easy to take apart when not in use. Up to 4 can play, and it is aimed at the 4+ age group. My grandson who is 8 and his little friends were the excellent age for this toy, and got set for battle straight away!
We also received a core figure packet (this has to be purchased separately) , which contains 3 trading cards and a Monsuno figure, concealed in a capsule that you spin, and as you do the figure appears. I know this all sounds a little confusing to us adults, but believe me our little ones are up and running while we are still taking the packaging out of way.
I stood back and let battle commence… the set has provided hours of fun, and I am positive it will carry on doing so.
A great toy for any Monsuno fans out there.
Just one negative – there are no core figures included in the combat set. So be aware you need to buy at least two separately so adding to the cost. Having said this my grandson and his friend already had some so chances are so will yours.
