I must admit that I have not entered a LUSH store or purchased a LUSH product for a long time, as I associate them with bath bombs and soaps etc…, products I don’t normally use! I was excited to be chosen to review yummy mummy body conditioner.
Yummy Mummy is a new limited edition product that was released in time for Mother’s Day. It’s made from almond oil, coca butter, fresh strawberry juice and Brazilian orange oil. You use the body conditioner by smoothing it generously over your whole body in the bath or shower then rinse off and pat dry.
The conditioner arrived in a small black yoghurt style pot with a screw top lid, the great thing about the pot is that it’s made from 100% recyclable plastic. LUSH also offer that if you return 5 clean lush pots you get a free fresh mask! The packaging clearly states the ingredients and use by date.
Overall, I have used the body conditioner for a week now; it smells divine, it’s thick and creamy and leaves my skin super soft and smelling of fresh strawberries, coca butter and hint of toffee. The smell lingers for a whole day, which is great. I found that I don’t need to apply it everyday as it keeps my skin really well moisturised. I must warn you though that it did leave my skin feeling quite greasy, almost waterproof when first applied. I did not like this feeling at first, but my skin did feel “normal” again after towel drying.
It does seem quite expensive but as you don’t need to apply much and you don’t need to apply everyday, I think is really good value. I think it is a great product and will definitely be purchasing some more!!!
