NOW That’s What I Call The 90s Review
NOW That’s What I Call The 90s

In 1998 I was 18, and as a usual 18 year old would I spent most of my time listening to music or drinking whilst listening to music. So this 3 CD box set really took me back.
As usual the clever people at NOW Music have put together a great compilation of 61 songs. There are some absolute classics from Take That, Spice Girls, Fugees, Vanilla Ice, Run DMC and many others. Then there are some songs which aren’t classics, but will forever be in my mind as a reminder of times gone by, I will never forget dancing to Steps ‘Tragedy’ in the nightclub whose floor was stickier than superglue with every single person knowing the stupid dance.
There are also some iconic songs which will always scream 90’s – Britney Spears Baby One More Time, Hanson Mmm Bop, Lou Bega Mambo no5. There are some songs which I wish weren’t on there (Robson and Jerome I mean you), but that is what the skip button is for on the CD player.
I think this is a good showcase of the ‘pop’ music of the 90’s. There isn’t much of the rock or indie scene which was so prevalent I the 90’s, which is a bit of a disappointment.
It would make a good gift for someone who partied in the 90’s, and would be the perfect soundtrack to a 90’s party!
