Galt Toys Pop Up Toy Review
Pop Up Toy
Reviewed by Gemma Whates
We were sent the Galt Pop Up Toy just in time for my son’s 2nd birthday party so I had lots of little reviewers, of all ages, ready to help me try it out.
The wooden product is of very good quality and allows for longevity of play, with my youngest ‘tester’ being 14 months and my oldest being four. The packaging it arrived in was also good.
The toy has four pop up figures that ‘bounce’ from the base. You can also colour match the figures to their holes in the wooden base which is great for slightly older children. The first bit of excitement for my son and his friends was taking the figures out of the wooden base and putting them back in. This lasted quite some time as the holes are big enough to avoid frustration but not too big to be ‘easy’. I then suggested matching the colours of the figures to the colours on the wooden base which allowed for some more play and even some sharing!
To a round of hysterical laughter we then found out why they are it’s called a ‘pop up’ toy. If you push the little figures quite hard in to the wooden base they bounce right out. My son and his friends found this extremely funny and very exciting! They didn’t quite have the strength to make the figures bounce themselves but my four year old niece was able to do this and she also enjoyed this part of the play.
Overall, we would recommend the product. It is good quality, durable and will appeal to a wide age range (the product states 12months+ on the box). It has the option to be played with in various different ways with the ‘pop up’ figures being the firm favourite although you will need an adult to get the most out of this if you are playing with young children. We very much enjoyed it together!
