Art Therapy Colouring Book by Richard Merritt Review

Reviewed by Donna Richardson
The art therapy book is designed to use creativity to manage and relieve stress, and it does just that! It is filled with varying pictures to colour, patterns and even freestyle pages. Its aim is to have a distracting effect from the stress of day to day life. I personally took the book to work and used it on my break, I work in a very fast paced hospital department and the book really helped me just have 30 minutes away from the stress of the ward.
The book is hard backed and the cover even manages to have a relaxing effect. It is very good quality and printed on paper that allows all kinds of media to be used with no strike through effect. The book did not come with any packaging however it is hard backed and so protected well.
The blurb on the inner page is all that is needed to explain the idea behind the book and allows the freedom of your creativity to blossom. The book is easy to use with any media and I will continue to use this book to help distract from the stressors in my day to day life.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has a creative flare and suffers from stress. For some relaxing involves, yoga, others reading, this book provides an alternative to a calmer mind. The book is priced at £12.99 which I think is brilliant value for money.
