Kalme day defence is a daily moisturising cream, specially formulated for skin that is prone to rosacea or redness. With these types of skin conditions consistency is important, and this product is designed to work over time, I had a deadline for this review so these are my thoughts after using for a few days.
The cream comes in a 50ml tube which also makes it a good travel size, it is very simple to apply just squeeze a small amount onto your finger tips and apply to your face, it is even safe enough to use around the delicate eye area. It is a lightweight cream that glides easily over the skin without any drag and sinks in very quickly leaving a lovely matt finish. I only had to use a small amount to cover my whole face so I think this tube will last a long time. It Is completely colourless and leaves no residue, the perfect base for make up if you like to wear any.
It was very soothing and uncomplicated and I liked the fact that I used it and then forgot about it, my skin felt normal not tight or irritated, no burning at all just calm and normal, and certainly didn’t feel or look greasy, anyone with a skin condition will know that all you want is for your skin to feel normal (no feeling at all). It offers 24 hours hydration so even at the end of the day my skin still felt smooth, soft and moisturised.
I was really pleased to see that the cream contained a SPF 30 I feel that it so important to protect skin from the sun’s harmful rays and a harsh environment even in the winter months, when it is incorporated in a daily moisturiser there’s no chance of forgetting to apply it, some SPF’s have chemical formulas that can irritate an already sensitive skin, this product uses a pure zinc mineral, much kinder to the skin.
If you know someone who has skin sensitivity there can be no kinder gift than this product, women especially mothers are notorious for taking care of everyone else and neglect their own needs, giving them skin care targeted to their specific needs could be your chance to break the cycle and encourage your mother to put herself to the top of the care list.
Kalme offer a range of six products all formulated for people with rosacea, in addition to day defence there’s night repair, cream cleanser, undercoat, prebiotic serum and concealer.
All Kalme products are derma logically tested, vegetarian friendly, cruelty free and made in England.

KALME Day Defence Cream 50ml
Rating: 4/5
The products have received over 4000 5 star reviews the only reason I have given it a 4/5 rating is because I didn’t get the chance to experience the results from long term use.
