With Christmas only 8 short weeks away, this gorgeous little set would make an ideal gift for any little person who loves to be busy and can’t be bothered by layering up.
Having a little one in the family who absolutely loves to be busy until the very last second of her day, these pyjamas have been ideal to keep her warm. Made from 67% Bamboo Viscose, 28% Organic Cotton and 5% Elastane, the set is from Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton that is non-toxic and mild on skin that easily irritates.
I had to look up what Bamboo Viscose consisted of as it doesn’t sound very soft and I found the following. Bamboo viscose is made from the cellulose of bamboo plants and comprises of a chemical procedure resulting in a substance that is smooth, lightweight and breathable. It absolutely blows my mind how versatile humans can be! The website states that all ErgoPouch fabrics are dyed with non-toxic water-based dyes. And the bit that I got super excited about was that ErgoPouch Layers & pyjamas are reviewed by the Eczema Association of Australasia (EAA) as a skin-friendly product so very keen to see if this would make a difference to our little one’s skin. She wore it for 4 evenings before it needed a wash and we were surprised at how gentle it was with no eczema flare-ups.
The material feels incredibly soft, and the beautiful dragonfly design is simply beautiful. The website has many different items and designs to choose from but I love the dragonfly print. It’s a slim fit, which is ideal – once your little one has potty trained and no longer wears a nappy, there’s very little to keep the trousers from falling down! These pyjamas are also ideal for little ones who are currently potty training, it’s a two piece so little ones can easily drop the trousers and also pull it back up once they have been.
It also washes incredibly well, after the first wash it came out just as soft which never happens, you usually always lose the initial softness, and there wasn’t any fading or misshaping, which is always reassuring when you’re spending that bit more for quality pieces. I also loved that the label inside was printed rather than stitched; my own children were nightmares for ripping out labels during the night as it bothered them so much so, no scratchy tags to irritate sensitive skin!
This is a set we’ll most definitely be getting out again and again as winter has finally arrived. These pyjamas retail at £32.95 in the United Kingdom and can be purchased from Long Sleeve 2-Piece Pyjamas 1.0 TOG Dragonflies – ErgoPouch UK. These make an ideal addition to any little one’s winter wardrobe and a lovely Christmas gift for busy little bodies. I also wanted to focus on items that people need this year rather than dust collectors that only take up space in your house and serve no real purpose. This is more than ideal to tick all boxes. I rate this item as 5/5.
