The theatre is a beautiful 780 seating theatre with comfy seating and a number of boxes and balcony seating. The layout gives the auditorium an intimate feel and you really feel part of the show. Excellent accessibility for wheelchairs and less able bodied theatre goers both in the theatre, bar and rest rooms.
The bar does get busy but you can order interval drinks which will be ready on the bar for you. Note – The theatre only accepts card payments – no cash.
Easy to access by car or public transport. There are two large car parks within a minute or two walking distance. Do not be tempted to park in Asda as you will get a fine. There are also bus stops opposite the theatre.
Lots of places within walking distance to eat and drink, one being a large Wetherspoons next door if you want cheap and cheerful.

The show
Wow! wow! wow!, what a treat, I can definitely see why this show is one of the longest running plays in the World. In true Agatha Christie style, there were more twists, turns and anticipation than a rollercoaster. I was captivated within minutes of the show starting. Set in country guest house, seven strangers are snowed in and become part of a murder investigation.
The stage settings, furnishing, props and outfits were amazing and you really felt you were transported into the era of the story. Definitely what you would expect from a West End stage not a local theatre. Whilst recognising Todd Carty from EastEnders he played his part so well you completely forgot that he was ever in anything other than The Mousetrap. All actors played their part and stage presence phenomenally well.
I feel that the play would be suitable and of interest to all age groups from teens to pensioners as it has something for everyone.
One thing I did notice is that the clarity and volume from the stage was pitch perfect. Often when going to the theatre I have struggled to hear everything throughout a performance but this was crystal clear.
I’m not going to tell you anymore about the show as The Mousetrap has been running for 70 years and no one has ever told me the murderer so I’m not going to spoil it by sharing that with you now. What I will tell you is that you will question everyone’s motives and whether they are innocent or guilty. Gasps, laughs, suspense and anticipation, this show covers every emotion.
If you live nearby and you haven’t seen The Mousetrap in the past, book your ticket now. You will not be disappointed. It’s an absolutely thrilling production which will leave you becoming your very own detective.
Who dunnit? You’ll have to go along to the show to find out! It is without a doubt the best few hours I’ve spent in a long time. I’m almost tempted to rebook and go back to see it again. Yep, it really was that good but I’ll leave you to decide!
