My 6 year old loves arts and crafts, it’s a big passion of hers so when I presented her with the Kreative Kids Craft Box it’s fair to say she was delighted and couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
The box arrived promptly and was also the packaging, which was perfect for us as no waste.
On opening the box inside there is a personalised certificate and list of instructions and contents. The box contained bunny ears, 3 craft kits, felt tip pens, acrylic paint pens, paints and brushes, a squishy chick and a cute little soap in the shape of a chick
Kit 1 is a 3D wooden bunny and egg decoration which you can decorate and then fit together, my daughter used the acrylic paint pens for this, it is the first time we have used them and they were brilliant, the colours were bold and beautiful and it was a good mess free way to paint. When she was finished I did need to use superglue to put the decoration together but this wasn’t a problem as I had some to hand, the finished result was really effective and my daughter was so proud of her efforts.
Kit 2 was 2x shrink keyrings- I have never seen these before and so I wasn’t sure how they would work. It consisted of a plastic template (1 bunny and 1 lamb) the acrylic paint pens were used for this and then they needed to go in the oven for 1 minute to harden and shrink right down, we made a bit of a mess of these sadly, firstly I didn’t have a hole punch to make the hole and secondly I was unable to flatten them properly out of the oven so they remained curled, we may need a bit of practice to perfect this one but I do love the idea.
Kit 3 was make your own Easter cards, my daughter was happy to get on with this independently and it kept her occupied for ages, the card, foam Easter sticky shapes, Pom poms, pipe cleaners and googly eyes were all included to make her works of art, this was a real hit.
There were also 2 sun catcher templates to colour and hang in the window and a book mark in the box. It’s fair to say we were both so impressed with the box the crafting opportunities are endless.
The Kreative Kidz Box is a wonderful Easter gift for children and a brilliant alternative to the usual chocolate eggs. Crafting is so mindful and not only positive to mental health but also a lovely bonding activity for us to do together.
You can buy the box for £29.97 which I thought was a little steep but after receiving the Kreative Kidz Box I now think/know this is well worth it, it has provided endless entertainment and is packed full of goodies.
The only things that I can think would improve our experience is if the holes were pre punched in the shrink keyrings, and perhaps if some glue were to be included but these are minor things indeed.
