Fun Things to Do at the Weekend

We might only be getting glimpses of how nice the weather could be but it still puts us in the mood for making fun plans for the longer days and lighter evenings. Rather than getting stuck in the rut of what you do each and every weekend, make the most out of these times and plan a fun-filled day/night out or even host a fun evening at your place. Here are some ideas for you to think about:

Organise a BBQ

Okay so this one is very reliant on having a bit of good weather but if the weather forecast stays pretty accurate then it should give you enough time to plan for a fun BBQ and to invite friends and family round for a fun day and maybe even party into the evening. So stock up on your frozen food, get your BBQ ready to go and then pick up all the other bits the day before.

Music Gig

Whichever type of music you prefer, there will be some live music on somewhere relatively near to you. You can check on local guides to see what gigs are coming up or most towns and cities have a website that is dedicated to finding local entertainment. So get your dancing shoes on and head to a music gig this weekend. You can even check at your local venue to see what is coming up in the near future. Alternatively, why not take the fun into your own hands by organising a party for all your favourite people? You can find more information here: http://www.goosedale.uk/event-venue/

Hiking or Walking

Even if you have never tried hiking before, when the weather stays fairly nice it can be exhilarating to get out into the countryside and spend time in the great outdoors. Whatever your level of fitness, you can plan a walk or hike to suit you and maybe take a picnic to enjoy at the halfway point. Take a look at the different walking trails that are recommended in and around your area.

Watersports

If you like something slightly more adventurous then you could explore the idea of some watersports activities like white water rafting or kayaking. You can have a really fun day in the UK by heading to your local watersports centre. You could even make a weekend out of it by camping or booking a B&B.

Miniature Golf

Playing miniature golf can be really fun for all of the family and is suitable for most ages. There are plenty of courses all over the UK that offer fun and whacky themes to make the game a whole lot of fun.

Come Dine With Me

If you get inspired by watching the chefs on TV then why not bring Come Dine With Me to your home and invite friends round for a fun evening of attempting to become culinary experts. Of course, you can also enjoy drinks whilst you are taking part and maybe even incorporate some party games into the mix. You could attempt your own wine tasting/food pairing and see if you have a new talent!

A Trip to the Seaside

It is tradition to go to the seaside on sunny weekends but it can also get really crowded, especially over bank holiday weekends, so plan ahead to try and avoid the crowds. Setting off early is the best way to enjoy a day at the seaside, as you can get your parking/transport sorted out early on and then just enjoy the rest of your day whether you head to the beach, go on some rides or have a walk along the promenade. If you want to keep the cost down then make sure you take your own picnic and drinks for your day out.
