I went to watch this film with reservations as this type of story has been told time and time again.

This was based on a true story of J Edgar Hoover. Leonardo DiCaprio played the part of the law enforcement officer J Edgar brilliantly who was the face of law enforcement in America for almost 50 years.  J. Edgar Hoover was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed door he held secrets that would destroy his image.

This film was very compelling and somewhat heart felt.
