The Grove Theatre in Dunstable, Bedfordshire is easy to get to with plenty of free parking after 6pm. There is a Weatherspoons pub next door to the theatre for pre-show meals and drinks! It is a modern theatre which only opened in 2007. It seats over 700 people. The theatre is clean. There is a large bar in the foyer. There are also plenty of toilets. Although there were still queues at peak times!

The seats in the theatre are on wooden tiers. This makes them shake when people are moving around. We were sitting on row D and had a very good view from where we were sitting.

We were there to see the The Dublin Legends. They used to be called the Dubliners until 2012 when John Sheehan left. They are an Irish folk band who were originally founded in 1962 when they were called the Dubliners. The current band consists of Sean Cannon, Eamonn Campbell, who were both members of the original group, with Gerry O’Connor and Paul Watchorn. They sang many different Irish songs and the audience joined in with quite a lot of them. They sang the Wild Rover, Fields of Athenry, Irish Rover, Molly Malone, Whisky in the Jar and many more.

Eamonn plays the guitar. Sean plays the guitar and also the banjo. Gerry plays the fiddle and also the banjo. And Paul lays the banjo. Paul has been rated as one of the top 5 banjo players in Ireland.

The band are currently on a UK tour then later on in the year are touring Austria and Switzerland. The band attracted a wide range of people. There were a lot of Irish people in the audience that had moved over to England. They had everyone tapping their feet and clapping to the music. I would definitely go and see the Dublin Legends again. I really like Irish music and the Irish accent. My friend now wants to go and visit Ireland as she has never been before! I would recommend the band to anyone. It is a really enjoyable night. I give the band an overall rating of ten out of ten!! They were brilliant! I give the theatre a rating of 4 out of 5. The only thing that let the theatre down was the floor. As the seats were built up on wooden platforms they shook and made you feel a little bit uncomfortable at times.

Rating: 5/5 thumbs_up
