My son was so excited to build this when it arrived he could not wait to open it. He loves dinosaurs and it was brilliant to see how focused he was and determined to build it by himself.
The packaging – for me the box is a little big compared to the product that is inside in relation to the size of it, however it is cardboard and can be recycled which is what we did. The actual puzzle is wooden and wrapped in a thin cling film which is easily removed and discarded. There is then a booklet also enclosed.
Assembly: The instructions were really easy to follow each piece has a number and the instructions show you which pieces to slot together. My son was able to identify and slot the pieces together himself he only needed a little help from me to just hold it and push together when sometimes they were a little stiff. The actual building and deciding were the pieces went were straightforward, he was able to work out all by himself. I was so impressed with him and how he was able to follow the instructions.
The Booklet: The booklet has the instruction in but also has information regards the T-Rex and its habitat, existence and general information that Jack loved me reading through with him and talking about them. This is a nice touch I think and you are not just getting a wooden dinosaur but they are learning about that dinosaur which is what educational toys should be about.
Feelings overall: Good value for money, right age range stated, a good product from start to finish, easy to build. This dinosaur now has pride of place on his bedside cabinet and we intend on painting him in the coming weeks.
