Rabbityness by Jo Empson Review

Reviewed by Louisa Nashir

This wonderful and happy story certainly captivated my daughter Kate’s imagination.

The story is about a rabbit who loves doing rabbity things like sleeping, burrowing and washing his ears but he also enjoys un-rabbity things like music and painting.

The other rabbits soon join in with rabbit and enjoy themselves until one day Rabbit disappears and leaves nothing but a big black hole in the ground.

The other rabbits find musical instruments and art supplies which Rabbit has left them so that they can carry on his arty and musical legacy and soon the forest is full of colour and sound.

A lovely written book with beautiful illustrations.

This is now a firm favourite in this house as Kate has been reading it non-stop since she received it.
