I popped into The Baby Shop (based in The Mall, Luton town centre) today to find a present for two of the little people in my life. I was delighted with the range of toys on offer. In the end, it was between this item and a lovely Paw Patrol music set which contained various instruments. The item came in an attractive box and was priced at a very reasonable £9.99. On the way out of the shop I could hear a little boy saying ‘Mummy, I want that.’ I then let her know where I had bought it. So back to the product itself. It is really well made. There is a pen attached, which is really handy as there is nothing worse than losing pens from toys. The set also comes with a circle and triangle stamper. I had great fun writing and stamping things onto the screen. A quick slide of the knob at the bottom and it’s all erased. No pages and pages of paper strewn around the house, a sight I remember well from another little person in my life. This Paw Patrol Magnetic Scribbler is aimed at age 3+. I can see this having a long lasting play value. As an adult, I think it’s great fun. It could also be used as a reminder board or for the children to help come up with a shopping list.
I feel that I must mention The Baby Shop as a whole as it’s a wonderland of baby and children’s products… anything from cots & prams to bibs. One thing which stuck out for me was a beautiful range of wooden rail name letters. You can buy the individual letters which make up a child’s name. They are very reasonably priced too. They also sell the latest toy craze – fidget spinners. A certain little person in my life is mad on these. The owner of the shop is a lovely, approachable lady who been in business 30+ years. They are worth paying a visit. I firmly believe in supporting independent traders/shopkeepers.
Rating: 5/5 for quality, fun and value.
