Make My Day Baby Bib Review

Reviewed by Nia Lock

My baby is only 4 months old but she is so excited about weaning that she’s already trying on bibs.

The Make My Day Penguin Baby Bib is beautifully displayed in its box and would make a fabulous and exciting weaning gift, or half birthday gift.

It’s made of BPA free, phthalate free food grade silicone and has a crumb catching shelf like the traditional plastic bibs but without the unpleasant rigidity. My baby looks hilariously cute in her penguin bib and as it’s stain resistant and dishwasher safe I don’t need to worry about how much food gets sloshed all over it. This is the smartest bib we own.

As we’re not quite old enough to test the bib with proper food ourselves yet, I’ve tried it out on the helpful baby of a friend.

The soft silicone that the bib is made of and the well-cut design means that it fits neatly around the neck leaving no gaps for things to fall down, it quickly warms to body temperature and there are several different silicone buttons and buttonholes at the back which makes the bib fit a recommended age range of 6 months to 3 years.

The crumb catcher worked well and baby enjoyed retrieving the dropped snacks and having another attempt at eating them.

My four-year-old tried the bib on during a game of ‘baby’ and it fit her just as well as it fits her little sister. I think we’ll get a lot of use out of this bib and judging by the quality and fit I expect it will last well. The only problem with the penguin bib is that it’s so deliciously chewy, my baby is desperate to eat her bib, which could be a problem when I start offering her broccoli.
