When the above arrived for me I was very excited to unwrap the box of treats and discover the contents as I had never tried any LUSH products before and didn’t know what to expect. The box of treats is definitely a true fair description of what’s inside, it is, what I would describe as true extravagance and everything is hidden and carefully wrapped in polystyrene balls so it was a pleasure to discover the contents!  The outside of the box is a very colourful design, which kind of reminded of a clown’s costume, green, gold, red & navy diamonds.

Enclosed in the giant matchbox was a lovely little colourful brochure listing the contents amongst other items available to purchase.  I liked the fact the company was keen to inform you of the history of how their products are made and their beliefs in encouraging long baths etc… All of the products and fragrances are made fresh by hand using little or no preservatives and never conducted tests on animals. The products are made from fresh organic fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics.  On browsing the brochure I think you will find something for everyone.

Bath time is at the top of my list for one of my daily luxury priorities and when I discovered the items which consisted of the following listed further below, I couldn’t wait to test out and sample. I must add I instantly banned my husband and 3 kids to their disappointment from trying anything until I had sampled first!

In total there are 5 items, the first I tried being a 10g Gorgeous trial size, (which is a facial moisturiser), this was an ideal size (for travelling) that would last approximately a week, as I used this morning and night and was instantly amazed at how light it was and how my skin felt soft from using in such a small length of time and the product felt smelt fresh! This was my favourite item, simple but effective.

The next item was Vanilla body lotion 100g so a good sample size to use over a few days or share! I’m not a fan of vanilla, but this fragrance was pleasant enough and a nice fruity smell. The good thing I may add is the bottle clearly displays a best before date to use as is fresh and date stamps when made and whom by! This is a nice personal touch with all the items that are wrapped and sealed.

Item 3 was 50g from Dusk to Dawn Massage Bar, again decent size to feel full benefit, another of my favourites with the aromas exhaled from this.

The next thing for me to try was the 120g Snowcake Soap (this was a creamy and soothing marzipan soap that was very accurately described as smelling absolutely scrumptious indeed.

The last but what my kids would consider the best product from my box of treats was the 100g Gold Fun Bar encased in gold lustre pain with honey and toffee fragrance. This was a multi-purpose product, can be used as a body and hair-wash so very versatile or you could crumble a only small amount required to use under a running tap to create a bubble bath. Even though this was only 100g it lasted several bath times, so went a lot further than you would imagine.

My first experience of LUSH products, heaven in a bath!  Would definitely consider buying for a special gift for a friend, relative or treat to myself and/or for taking on holiday when you might have a bit more time to relax. I will most definitely buy some of the bath bombs for all the family to use as a special treat also and consider the hand & feet range as well possibly the perfumes! I totally recommend trying any of the Lush range and looking at their website or visiting one of their shops!

Value:  Its true indulgence, so worth every penny realistically with the amount of time taken to make!

Rating: 4.5/5
